On Monday afternoon (5/20/13), an EF5 tornado ripped through Moore, OK and destroyed many parts of the town including homes and severl schools. The death toll is rising by the minute. (Tornado Path)
During any tragedy like this we all want to do something to help each other. Many people don’t know what to do and feel helpless and that feeling can be horrible. But there are things you can do to help the victims of this storm. We’ll use this post as a collection point for donations and volunteer information for our members. It will be updated as new information becomes available.

Oklahoma Baptist University has opened 160 dorm rooms free of charge for displaced tornado survivors. Call the president’s office at 405-275-2850 or 405-878-2402 or just show up.
OU is opening available student housing at no cost to victims.
Victory Church has an open shelter at 4300 N MacArthur. They have food and supplies.
For our furry friends…
The Animal Resource Center is taking in pets that have been misplaced by the tornado. They are located just North of Moore at I-240/i35 intersection. Address is 7949 S. I35 service Road. Number is 405-604-2892. They will take donations as well.
Annie’s Ruff House in Norman is sheltering dogs displaced by the weather. 1034 N. UNiversity Blvd (405) 613-7083.

Supplies Donation Locations
Jenks Fire and Police Dept. will be collecting donations items: Water, blankets, non perishable food, batteries, dog food, flashlights, diapers, baby formula, aspirin, bandages, baby food, tents, feminine products, soap, toothbrushes, deodorant, underwear, socks or anything else you think might be useful.
Passion By Design will be accepting supply donations from 10am – 6pm on Tuesday. Wednesday they will be delivering the donations to Red Cross. Red Cross accepts non perishable food, bottled water, clothing, and hygiene products. They are located at 5045 S. 78th E. Ave, Tulsa, OK which is the SW corner of The Fontana Shopping Center at 51st and Memorial near Akins.
